Proton cashback frequently asked questions
Proton cashback is money you can earn when you access an eligible Proton purchase through a cashback portal, complete the transaction, and meet the portal’s qualifying conditions.
Create or sign in to your cashback portal account, search for Proton, select the available cashback offer, click through to the Proton website, and complete your purchase in the same session.
Proton cashback availability can vary by portal, country, product, and time. Check reputable cashback websites, such as SimplyBestCoupons.com, to see whether a current Proton offer is available before shopping.
The Proton cashback rate depends on the current promotion, product category, subscription plan, location, and cashback portal. Always review the offer terms for the latest rate and any maximum payout.
Not always. Proton cashback may be limited to selected products, plans, new customers, subscription terms, or specific billing methods. Review the exclusions and eligibility requirements before purchasing.
Most cashback portals require you to create an account so they can track your purchase and credit the cashback. You may also need an eligible Proton account to complete the transaction.
Open the Proton listing on your chosen cashback portal and click its shopping or activation button. Complete the purchase after being redirected to Proton without visiting competing websites or using conflicting promotions.
Proton cashback may appear as pending shortly after a qualifying purchase, but tracking times vary. Some transactions are recorded within hours, while others may take several days.
Common reasons include using an ad blocker, blocking cookies, shopping in another browser or device, applying an excluded coupon code, returning the order, or starting the purchase before activating the cashback link.
Wait for the portal’s stated tracking period, then submit a missing cashback claim with your order details, purchase date, confirmation email, and any required screenshots. The portal may contact Proton to verify the transaction.
Proton cashback usually becomes payable after the transaction is confirmed and the return, cancellation, or refund period has ended. The exact approval time depends on the cashback portal and Proton’s validation process.
Once your Proton cashback is payable and you meet the portal’s minimum threshold, choose an available payment method, such as bank transfer, PayPal, or gift card, depending on your country and account.
Sometimes. Cashback portals may allow only codes listed on their Proton offer page. Unlisted, third-party, or manually entered codes can invalidate the cashback, so check the terms before applying a discount.
You may be able to combine approved Proton promotions with cashback, but this is not guaranteed. Read the specific offer conditions because some promotions, free trials, or special pricing may be excluded.
Eligibility varies by offer. Some Proton cashback promotions are available to existing customers, while others are restricted to new subscribers, specific upgrades, or selected plans.
Renewal eligibility depends on the cashback portal’s terms and Proton’s tracking rules. Many offers apply only to new purchases or upgrades, so confirm whether recurring payments and renewals qualify.
Mobile purchases may qualify if the cashback portal supports mobile tracking and you activate the offer through its app or mobile website. Follow the portal’s instructions and avoid switching devices during checkout.
Payment-method eligibility varies. Some Proton cashback offers exclude gift cards, virtual credits, third-party payments, or certain promotional balances. Check the offer’s payment restrictions before completing checkout.
Yes. A refund, cancellation, chargeback, subscription reversal, or returned purchase can cause pending Proton cashback to be declined or removed from your cashback account.
Compare cashback portals before shopping, activate the highest eligible rate, read exclusions, disable conflicting browser extensions, allow cookies, avoid unapproved coupon codes, and keep your order confirmation until the cashback is approved.
